Spoiler

What if humans didn’t exist on Earth? Who would watch over the planet? Would it be run amok with animals? Or who would replace us? The answer: robots. The answers... well you’ll have to find that out yourselves Y8.

From the creators of Can You Imagine?, Gateways, and Toons v Reality comes the next big original film from the studio: Framework

Despite the massive financial success of Should You Imagine? as well as the positive early critical reviews Toons garnered, Endless Animation was unpleased on how SYI? performed critically as well as their current output. Irving notes while the changes worked for some, there was a lot of flaws we didn’t notice or were too proud to see. Irving also notes that as the animation field gets more competitive noting Hollywood Animation’s Laika, Cookie Pictures Animation’s Hilda and The Midnight Giant and Shining Star Animation’s Birdwing as well as some critics getting tired of Endless’ shtick of safety, the studio needs to move forward and try new things if we want to survive.

Framework started off as an Edgar Wright project but the director left to focus on Lager Studios’ One Punch Man. Pete Docter fresh off of the studio’s biggest hit and most loved film: Gateways, then went on to do the project as titled Creation, but had some story difficulties. Brian Larsen (Smash and Grab) co-wrote the script with Docter and came in with a new direction, that Docter loved so much he decided to pitch to the new rendition to Endless Animation with Larsen making his debut feature film.

Framework takes place in the current year of 2020 but the meteor that killed the dinosaurs had more of an impact, and terraformed the planet as while water and plant life existed, mammals, fish, birds and reptiles died, which resulted into the creation of Homo Mechanical aka humanoid robots and cause society to advance much faster than humans did. The robots are like us in certain ways: they have jobs, socialize, a functioning society and have a little bit of basic emotions such as joy, sadness, fear and anger but unlike us in they can’t experience wider emotions like love, passion or empathy, they’re born as adults and can’t consume or mate, and their fates are determined directly from birth. Society is structured in a system of where your job determines your ranking in the world, all ruled by the Great Computer (Daniel Craig), the first robot in history.

Anyways our story takes place in Coil City, think the New York City of the world where the greatest Eneron crisis is taking place, where Eneron acts as fuel, energy and much more for our robotic friends. Our main protagonist Code (Charlie Heaton), a freshly manufactured robot scientist dealed to assigned with the crisis. Code, however unlike other robots, was born with the ability to feel emotions a bit more than others but follows the rules to a T and is a model citizen.

Code dreams of living in the Heights, where the most talented and smartest robots like like kings and help society but fate might have given him an upper hand as Code winds up through some mishaps winds up creating artificial intelligence: a jovial and laidback human named Adam (LaKeith Stanfield).

Code decides to use Adam as his ticket for fame and fortune, teaming up with Heights tech guru Riverta (Marisa Tomei) as he in returns slowly becomes more human with his time with his creation as the two accidentally discovers a conspiracy about Eneron that will change their worlds forever.

Like how CYI? and Mario tackles themes, Framework will tackle more heavier themes such as income equality as well as religion and faith. Framework will once again animated with Endless Animation’s Worldmeander software used for their own library as well as Y7’s juggernaut Hilda and The Midnight Giant.

The robots in the film are much more sleek and futuristic while the human and the wildlife we see are more fluid, almost resembling watercoloring in a way. The film is said to be one of Endless Animation’s more costly films despite good budget management as for some imagery is said to be some of the most eye catching from the studio.

The cast also contains:

Lily James

Diedrich Baker

Marlon Wayans

Ken Jeong

Tessa Thompson

Brian Larsen (Sparkshorts’ Smash and Grab) will write and direct the project as Peter Docter (Gateways, To The Moon) will write and produce the project. Josh Cooley (Toy Story 4, Gateways) and Rebecca Sugar (the Imagine? trilogy, Gateways) will produce as Endless Animation heads Meg LeFauve and Chris McKay executive produce. Framework will come to theaters June 21st, Y8, taking the spot of the horror comedy Naughty.

Irving notes Naughty is still likely for Y8, as anything could happen it’ll be the next film to fill out the slot.

Following the grossing of higher domestic box office receipts for The Long Way Home than Numerator Pictures had projected, the studio has formally greenlit a sequel, to be released in late July Year 9, as its rumored slate had already listed. A precise weekend has not been decided upon, as insiders say the producers are currently split between choosing the Nolan Weekend or the last weekend of the month.

Said sequel, tentatively titled The Hard Way Forward, will be directed, as previously rumored, by Rick Famuyiwa.

After the resounding success of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Phoenix Fire Entertainment announces a four-movie arc for the Pro Skater franchise, starting from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.

Gaten Matarazzo, Mackenzie Foy and Asher Angel will all play their roles as Chris Towers, Simone Johnson and David Loan respectively. Tony Hawk will also return in his supporting role as himself. More cast announcements to be made.

The second movie is to be released on December 25 Y8. Pro Skater: Underground - based on Tony Hawk's Underground - will center on Loan after his failure to win the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater tournament, and his relationship with his friend Eric Sparrow. The Wire's Clark Johnson is confirmed to direct.

The third movie, Pro Skater: Proving Ground - inspired by Tony Hawk's Proving Ground - will focus on Simone Johnson as she trains in a school of skateboarders, the Proving Ground, to hit her potential and be just as good or better than Chris and Loan. Proving Ground is tempted to an early March Y10 release, just in time for International Women's Day. Drew Barrymore, actress and filmmaker behind Whip It, will direct.

The fourth and final movie, Pro Skater: Stand Your Ground, pits Chris, Simone and Loan all against each other in the X-Games. Stand Your Ground is to be released in Y11. No director confirmed at the moment, but expect either Barrymore, Johnson or Tony Hawk's Ryan Coogler to return.

In the near future, hamsterity survives in space.

Spoiler

After two smash hit comedies that delighted and moved audiences across the world, it's time for Marion and Cassie to say one last farewell to the big screen in their biggest adventure to date.

Set a handful of years after the events of Two Lonely Bounty Hunters, Marion continues to let his freak flag fly as a legendary bounty hunter, while Cassie graduates from the Cosmic Academy with a double major in Intergalactic Affairs and Computer Science with a minor in Linguistics. While Cassie is torn between starting a full time life as a bounty hunter and pursuing a dream partnership with a beloved politician, Marion is starting to wonder if he's ready to retire, particularly after scoring a fortune after the perfect job. These two friends are unsure of their future together but fate has other plans...

Cassie's girlfriend, Sylphiana, just happens to be the daughter of Equinox Blazenback, one of the most ruthless and notorious thieves in the entire galaxy. After stealing something from a powerful Duchess, an ungodly reward begins to attract the attention of countless bounty hunters across the galaxy. After realizing that Blazenback's latest heist may not be so villainous after all, Marion and Cassie have to fend off countless bounty hunters and all kinds of ruthless enemies and help save Blazenback. And the reason his bounty is so big? He's stolen an artifact that can deeply alter the state of reality in the universe and perhaps even destory it.

...so yeah, it's one of THOSE adventures.

Can Cassie keep her relationship strong while dating the kin of a galactic fugitive? What is the nature of the macguffin they've got their hands on? Will Marion and Cassie part ways when all is said and done? Will this film actually get released in time for Y8? All questions and more will be answered in...

BH3

Or Marion, Cassie, and the Great Supernova of Y8

Noelle Stevenson returns to the director's chair, working on a script written by her, David Soren (who co-wrote and directed the first two films), and Abe Forsythe (Little Monsters). Stevenson has remarked that while the film has the same heart, madcap humor, and more that audiences have come to love from the series, she is overseeing the development of several major action set-pieces and monumental thrills. Using a brand new software called Dropkick, character movement is given much more fluidity within different styles and movements, leading to more dynamic and thrilling sequences.

Of course, cast favorites Charlie Day and Sophia Lillis are returning as Marion and Cassie respectively. Also returning are Yara Shahidi, Ice Cube, Kate McKinnon, Chris Redd, Leslie Mann, Jason Sudekis, and Michelle Yeoh. Captain Fab, Moxie, and Gravitas, along with Cassie's parents, will once again play more supporting roles, but each will get fun moments to shine.

As for new characters...

Idris Elba Picture  Olivia Colman Picture  Rosa Salazar Picture

Ben Schwartz Picture  Brandon Keener Picture  Wayne Knight Picture

Idris Elba, Olivia Colman, Rosa Salazar, Ben Schwartz, Brandon Keener, and Wayne Knight join the cast of BH3.

  • Idris Elba (Luther, Voltron: Rise of Lotor) is Equinox Blazenback, the master thief and Sylviana's father. They have a complicated relationship, and half the galaxy wants him dead either way. Deep down, he might not be such a bad person afterwards. A porcupine-like alien, he's also got a lot of powers and tricks using the spikes on his back.
  • Olivia Colman (Laika, The Favourite) as Lady Zagtan, a powerful duchess of a skylike world. An alien with features drawing from bats, birds, dragons, and other avian creatures, she has to ability to fly high, but also a wicked willingness to stoop low. To that point, she's our main antagonist.
  • Rosa Salazar (Bambi: A Life in the Woods, Alita: Battle Angel) as Bossa, a maned-wolf like bounty hunter with unrelentingly lethal skills yet a completely friendly demeanor. She teams up with Merf, who agrees to split the money with her. Motivations are unclear.
  • Ben Schwartz (Sonic the Hedgehog, Parks and Recreation) as Merf, An alien bounty hunter of a species looking a bit like they're made of origami paper. He can compress his body and move in quick and stealthy ways, but his overly nervous state lines up with his physical fragility.
  • Brandon Keener (The Mass Effect video games) as Wexnen, a humanoid species with almost over the top handsome features, who offers to take Cassie under her wing. Might he be hiding something more nefarious?
  • Wayne Knight (Jurassic Park, Blindspotting) as REDACTED

The main theme of this film is ultimately recognizing that the dreams and goals we have change, and that life is never what it first appears to be. While Stevenson remarked that the film may end on a bittersweet note, she doesn't want to say anything else for now. She's excited to unveil BH3, or Marion, Cassie, and the Great Supernova of Y8 exclusively in theaters, including 3D, Dolby, and IMAX screens, on May 31st, Y8.

After internal discussions Numerator Pictures has hired Brenda Chapman to direct the sequel to its year 5 animated hit Sylvarius. Initial voice casting for new roles is complete but don't expect any announcements until at least after the Y7 Oscars. The working title is Sylvarius II, but sources say the name might change as production moves forward.

The film is slated to come out early Year 9.
