Dunkirk is weird. I don't have anything bad say about it other than I simply don't love it. I think it's a phenomenal piece of filmmaking and near flawless but just not my favorite. I can't say I've every struggled to explain my feelings towards a movie this way before

it's fine as hell and it can ride real good but you wouldn't take it home to meet the parents. i get it.

I understand the lack of a main character is a complaint for a lot of people, even if personally I thought their being no main character worked to the films advantage.
