I thought Season 2 wasn't as bad as a lot of people did and am intrigued where 3 will go. Reasonable to assume a significant time jump will happen to after they probably/maybe complete some jail time for lying to authorities over how Skarsgard died since the actors who played the kids will be teens (if they aren't already) if it premieres in the next year or two.

A bit late to the conversation  but when it comes to bad award shows, you will never beat the 1989 Oscars ;that was the year of the infamous Rob Lowe/Snow White opening number. The show was so bad that a number of very prominent Academey members and Oscar Winners published a statment apologizing for the show and blasting the producer, Alan Carr. Carr.who produced "Grease" and few other sucessful films back in the 70's and early 80's, was persona non grata in Tinseltown after that fiasco. And the Oscars moved to hiring a professional who had expereince in producing vareity shows (which is what the Oscar Broascast basically is) to producer rather then a unpaid volunteer .

So yesterday a CG studio accidentally leaked an entire new feature length SpongeBob Movie, it got uploaded to Twitter and nobody noticed

 

 

They got lucky because this is a Netflix Original. No idea what else has been leaked yet.

Finished Fellow Travelers last night. The mixture of fictional drama with actual history can be awkward at times and the nonlinear narrative causes some uneven transitions, but it's ultimately a rather moving decade-spanning forbidden romance that's epic in scope and elevated to a higher level by the two powerhouse performances at its center. Bomer really is just an incredible actor and human being and the industry should feel a tad ashamed of itself for not really allowing him richer material like this the past dozen years. And Bailey is a certified STAR! and no streaming flavor of the moment, we need Wicked to be a smash at the end of the year just for him.

 

About to start The Curse next! Then the new season of True Detective after that.

First time this movie has popped up on my radar. Apparently the book it's based on was published in 2017 but the Olivia Wilde/Harry Styles relationship had to be a bigger influence in it getting made lmao.

The book got big in 2020 during Covid. Harry Styles has a history with older women that well predates the Olivia Wilde relationship, though I'm sure the publicity helped generate studio interest.

 

Between The Idea of You and the After series you could practically program a day-long film festival of Harry Styles fanfic movies.
