MODERATION:   Since we have like 3500 MCU threads, I’m just gonna post this here in hopes that everyone sees it, so that I don’t have to post it like 3500 times individually and spam all the threads:   When you’re talking about the MCU, please make sure that you’re talking specifically about that title in that thread. August sucks. Sorry not sorry to August birthdays, but it sucks. Easily the worst month.

 

- hot as hell

- no holidays

- no sports (yeah yeah baseball, still not football or basketball/WS 2 months away)

- back to school

- hot as hell

- movies stink/TV premiers are next month

- hot as hell

- too late for a summer vacation, too early for an offseason vacation

- doesn't have the clout of july or chill of september

- just very plain, nothing to do or see

- just hot as hell for no damn reason

I'm with you there. August really is the dog days of summer. Absolutely nothing going on. Just have to sit/work/whatever you're doing and endure the heat.

- no holidays (well If you are a student that's not a problem)

- no sports (yeah yeah baseball, still not football or basketball/WS 2 months away) (I love track and field and most World Championships/Olympics take place in August)

- back to school (kinda true but you still don't care about it till late month)

Back to school week is nice for College, that’s the one main plus, but other than that I agree.

No, it still sucks. The beach is played out by August because its TOO HOT. It's been hot since April/May, by August you're over it and just begging for snow. Olympics don't count. Theyre every four years and the next 3 start in July and the one before last started in July. Nice try tho. And yes, no holidays is a problem regardless of what you are. With no holidays, there's no day in August that gives you an excuse to be merry, patriotic, litty, eat like a pig, dress up, drink where you're passed out before 5pm, etc.

 

But I'm American and I'm ignorant to other countries' August's. I'm glad your August is great, but US August sucks, always has, always will, easily number 12 of the great 11 months. You won't convince me otherwise. Even January kicks August in the tant.

I'm sorry but no one is watching Duquesne vs UMass lol. All those August 30/31st games are basically September. It's September -1 and September 0. August still sucks.

Nice ranking. October is for sure #1. I think I'd have September-December up high though. There's no better time of year than the "4th quarter." That October/November/December stretch. You got my birthday, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years all back to back to back.

 

It's CFB bowl/rivalry season, basketball is kicking off, temps are a fine 60's and 70's, trees are looking good, got some good movies and holiday marathons, so much food to eat, perfect time of the year for cuddling and hanging inside, the list goes on and on. Fall is the bees knees. Summer is overrated. I used to be a big fan of June but it's wanned a bit as I've gotten older.

I make a Plummer joke and come back the next day to people basically saying I make jokes about rape allegations. Great time to be alive.
