no. netflix are smart with what they produce. Bright is exactly in that "good enough to leave on in the background, not good enough to leave the house for" pocket that most of their original content successes thrive in.

Theres a big difference between people sitting on the couch watching Netflix on TV and people getting out of their homes and into the theaters.

 

It would have never been able to get a 98M opening.

Don't forget the people who don;'t have netflix. they would count too. 98 is an absurd number, maybe 50M was possible
