Hong Kong is quite unusial market. Its culture is highly Westernized, everyone speaks English etc. The locals are very well acquainted with American superheroes. It's the only place in Asia where The Dark Knight was a major hit.

LOL. Not true at all. Not even one third of the population speaks English.

The Dark Knight did exceptionally well in HK partially because they filmed some scenes there.

Whent for my 2nd time at 6.30 pm tonight.75% full which is incredible here... Tickets costs 20+$ here you know. The crowd LOVED it and laughed alot..I saw a lot of females and children from 8-9 and up...But this is not a 4 quad... It is designed for the younger audience..I enjoyed it more today. Don´t know why..

I'm very sure. Less than 5% speak English as their first language. 32% speak English as a second language.English enjoys a higher status but most people are not willing to learn. I recall that students' grades in English have been getting worse in exams.

Why? They think it's too hard?Maybe Singapore will pass it about this, they seem more motivated and open-minded.

I always got along pretty well with English in HK, but in China nobody speaks English on the street.
