Only 15 million between conservative and strong projections?

I say 20 Tuesday, 19 Wednesday, 18 Thursday, 35 Friday, 50 Saturday, 35 Sunday.

Deadline writes:

Black Panther‘s Tuesday was down 48%, giving it a running five-day take of $263.2M, Black Panther should hit $300M by Friday (eight days), if not before.

If not before! Which means it would need to earn 37 million on Wednesday and Thursday. 19+18=37 Stripe!

I stand by my 120 million prediction for the weekend too.

10% drop after Discount Tuesday is extremely difficult. Beauty and the Beast for instance dropped 35% on its first Wednesday. Thor Ragnarok dropped 43% on its first Wednesday.

I’m going with $16m Wednesday (-24%) and $15m Thursday (-6%). Very good chance to go over $100m for 2nd weekend after a $15m Thursday.

Deadline: " Black Panther is estimated to ease 55%-57% in Weekend 2 for $104M-$109M."

Is the the famous Deadline math I've been hearing so much about?

Yeah why are they using 4 day OW to calculate the 2nd week drop? Is there another holiday Monday in U.S?

Talking about Avatar.

Atleast Avatar didn't had 10 years of making, 22 movies, Comic book heroes etc before Avatar there wasn't any Avatar and Avatar happened. Now we have avatar and Soon we will have A2, A3, A4, A5. I really doubt Avatar 2 will make less than 3 Billions.

You can compare SW which have 40 years of Fanbase.

I will be happy to see A2 making 2 x SW7

242.2 + 21.1 + 14 + 13 = 290+ 7-day

80-90 weekend, 370-380 10-day

30 Mon-Thu, 400-410 14-day

40-45 3rd weekend, 440-455 17-day

95-110 more, 535-565 dom

I don't see how it can go under $90m for the weekend after a $13m Thursday. Just some perspective on non-summer releases:

Avengers made $12.4m Thursday and $103m weekend.

BATB made $10.9m Thursday and $90m weekend.

Ultron made $8.6m Thursday and $78m weekend.

Civil War made $8.2m Thursday and $73m weekend.

Deadpool made $8m Thursday and $56.5m weekend.

Of the bunch, Deadpool's release date is the only one that matches up with Black Panther. A 7 multiplier from $13m Thursday would be $91m for the weekend. I also think it could end up more along the lines of $14-15m Thursday, which then pushes the weekend to $100m using Deadpool's multiplier.

Yeah Wednesday drops can be brutal. That's why I was hoping for a bigger Tuesday.  Now I'm thinking 16m for Wednesday is generous.

Maybe for the same reason they often use Thursday number to talk about 2nd week drop, just a way to have bigger more fun numbers for the OW title/article ?

$21.5? Can one of you numberologists explain that. How good is that number in relation to everything?

I was told that it's the best non holiday non summer Tuesday in history.  Only BatB and Avengers come close and are still behind. I was also told its an amazing number for February.
