FYI if you go to Amazon and just type "region c blu-ray" into the search bar you'll get only the relevant results. I just did it and got 459 results, that's gotta be enough movies to choose from.

Now allow me to get sappy.

 

I started this game something like 12 years ago.  It started with less than 20 players and the winning score at the time was something like 5000.  It grew every year until it became the game that you all see and love today.  This was a game designed to get people to put their predictions where we can all see them, instead of 25 people claiming at the end of the summer that they knew (for example) that The Meg would make 500 million world wide.  Year after year, more questions were added, the scoring revamped and categories inserted.  I ran this game for about 6 or 7 years by myself.  It was tough but very rewarding.

 

Then @chasmmi and @JJ-8 came along and started to help with the scoring.  They were such a massive help and the game was so much better with them by my side.

 

Life catches up to you and at the age of 45 I just couldn't find the time to run this anymore.  So Chas decided that he could do it.  Jajang would help of course.  

 

The results are that this game is better now than it ever was in my hands.  These two are simply amazing.  They have taken my little game and turned it into perhaps the biggest game on this site and it is copied on other sites like World of KJ.  Their reveal of the positions, their flair for the dramatic and everything else they do makes this game as amazing as it is.  @chasmmi I don't know how you find the time to do this game and the top movie characters, but you are a GOD!

 

So thanks to both of you for continuing this tradition.  I'm so proud to say that it was my idea and even more proud to see how it has evolved in your caring and capable hands.

 

Can't wait for the winter game!

Top 15 Domestic:

 

Of note :

• The lowest predicted film that made the top 15 was "Crazy Rich Asians" with only 7 predicting it would make it.
• The highest predicted film that didn't make the top 15 was "Skyscraper" with 35 out of 37 players predicting it.
• The worst predicting film belongs to "Action Point".  There was actually 6 poor suckers including our second placed getter who actually selected a film that only made 5m at the box office (some 65m shy of 15th place in the game).  
• In saying the above, looking at just gross, it was "Solo" (it made 213m) which was missed by a large margin by most, and I take the walk of shame on this one with a the game high prediction of 522.9m .  most on average were more than 100m higher, and WrathofHan redeemed himself with the closest to Solo of 265m.
• As already noted earlier, this was very nearly a different chart.  If Solo had held onto 5th Place, WrathofHan won the game and even more shocking was that fact that 6 players had the first 6 correct in this scenario and 2 in fact 9 /9 exactly correct.  all but for 200k and 1 day this changed the game dramatically...
