3.77 for DP2 up from Deadline's 3.6.

Now 13+ weekend likely

3.77

5.40 (+43%) // was just over +45% last weekend

3.83 (-29%) // was -29% last weekend also but this weekend sunday could be stronger as summer sets in more, as shown by lesser friday bumps

Should do 16-18k PTA - very nice for a very deserving man

Read they're handing out boxes of tissues for audiences on their way in at select theaters. As a PIttsburgh native, it's my duty to see it. Likely tonight or tomorrow afternoon.

Aside from Solo, I'm happy with the box office so far this summer. O8 is pretty much doing as expected. DP2 hanging in there and rolling to $300M+ DOM. I2 and JWFK are going blow up. I think Uncle Drew will break out too and maybe hit $100M+. And, even though released in late April, IW killed in may and is holding up well with some late legs.

this late into the run patterns are not always followed. as numbers get smaller a movie will show some fluctuation (friday drop, tue or wed being flat, thu increasing a lot, etc) on one ass random day. aiw friday doesn't really command much analysis imo.

Wait....what? A weekend projection on....on Saturday?? LOL. Very good number if it stays though.

that projection jumped the gun and is low-balling. should be closer to 155 than 145 by sunday.

2.5-2.55x multi gives 390 from current os markets. Latin America, Japan and Aus should take it to 550.

250 from China for 550+250=800 os

hopefully it does 850+ os

Plus, throughout its run, Friday has been consistently not a strong day for IW. It let to meltdowns several times until Sat rolled in lol.

That's just flat out incorrect.  Industry tracking was never as low as $30m.  Initial, long range tracking had Oceans 8 pegged at $45m.  Heading into this weekend, that estimate dropped to $35-40m.  Please provide a link to a reputable source (Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Deadline) that had numbers you're quoting.

Variety: “Ocean’s 8 Plotting $30 Million Box Office Opening Weekend”

ScreenRant: https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/screenrant.com/oceans-8-opening-weekend-projection/amp/

The Wrap:

There are links to reputable sources you asked for, including Industry Trade Variety. You are incorrect.

Anything else you want?
