Krissykins
Nice poster. Buddi will take some getting used to. Chucky is great and he won’t be replaced. But no one went to see Seed of Chucky, it was dreadful and his last two films went straight to DVD. I think this is for the new generation and will help out the original Chucky big time too. Eric Quinn
Brilliant idea to have it open on the same day as Toy Story. 2
Ithil
Weird to think Aubrey Plaza is now old enough to play "the mom" in a film.

Although it has competition in the form of the Grudge reboot as well
SLAM!
I want to say that I feel like it's been a relatively short period between the film's announcement and the film receiving a release date. I guess it's because horror films in general, especially these days, have been known to be filmed rather quickly. And that's completely fine. Many films were filmed pretty quickly. And people have tight schedules, you know? Quick filming lets people do more things in the industry.

75Live
first site for the movie is up now Orion Pictures has launched a new viral website for their Child’s Play remake, called BestBuddi.com . This reflects the change in the film from the 1988 original, in which the dolls were called Good Guys. Now they are called “Buddis.” The fake website treats the Buddi as a real product and promotes a release date of June 21, 2019, the same as the movie

Boxofficerules
Hopefully the trailer is good. I think Universal messed up by not putting a theatrical Chucky movie out instead of going DTV.

And I was saying that they probably wouldn’t have done much better had they been theatrical I don’t think Curse or Cult themselves would have made more money at the box office. I feel if Universal had done a proper theatrical reboot (a sequel that doesn’t really mention the other movies) with proper money could have done quite well. Both Cult and Curse sold very well. Krissykins
The trailer has leaked, poor quality on twitter so I wonder if they’ll release this today. The boy shouts “Chucky” in the trailer btw, hmm.
Eric Quinn
Essentially, the trailer will be in front of Prodigy tomorrow, then online Friday
SLAM!
That's really smart of them to debut this with The Progidy. I'm not sure how many people are wanting to see that movie; I'm sure it can pull modestly successful numbers like "The Forest" and "The Boy" did in 2016. Krissykins
The trailer is very short btw and you don’t see the doll in full of speaking, only a glimpse of his costume at the start crawling and a silhouette at the end. I worry about it’s release with this new studio, Orion?
