I haven't followed its BO. Is that a bad drop for Venom or is ASIB doing extremely good?

I think it's pretty average for movie like Venom, it's simply not gonna hold well because it's behaving like your average CMB. WOM isn't toxic or anything though. ASIB is getting simply amazing WOM, I would be surprised at this point with a sub 4x multi.

Exactly, it doesn't mean Venom is doing badly.

For ASiB such legs would be even more amazing because it started strong with a lot of fan interest (Gaga, Cooper, the previous movies...) translating into a $42M OW.

I think Venom will do about $32m this weekend. But we’ll see.

October friday increases are understandably bigger than Summer increases.

The only weird one recently is Blade Runner, which only increased 94%.

However, Happy Death Day and Flatliners had Friday increases of 170-209% last year. So anything could happen tomorrow really.

Gravity did 4.91x (274.1 dom / 55.785 ow).

If ASIB follows suit it will do 212 dom including Wed-Thu gross (1.35 + 42.91*4.91).

Gravity got a good theater bump towards the end of the run which ASIB may not get. I think CRA and AQP are good targets for ASIB.

Fantastic hold for ASIB. But that shouldn't be the standard we hold Venom to. Venom's playing like almost any other movie of its kind would on Thursday. Still expecting around 30M this weekend (for both).

Think it's way too early to call FM a mega-bomb but you're always like this, so whatever. Venom was gonna drop hard anyways.
