Looking at the BP list I put 6/10.    Right now I’m not sure If I’d see Beale Street or the Favourite in time.  IW didn’t make my list so no vote there.  Roma, it looks nice, but I like movies where at least something happens.  I love MI and Spiderverse but Spiderverse will get love in animated.  MI will get an attaboy.  That will leave me to decide between ASIB, Blackkklansman, Blindspotting and Leave No Trace.

The plan is for the ceremony to take place the day before the Oscars.  I'll check with Spaghetti and we'll get back on that, but pretty much the last week of February.

Beale Street comes out in March here so I suggest a month-and-a-bit long voting process.

 

Leaves more time for the Leave No Trace gang to drum up some votes as well.

For the record, this is why I didn't vote.

 

There's so many movies that I have even a mild interest in that I feel like my ballot would have been incomplete. Why I never really like end-of-the-year lists to begin with.

I've got a question: How will we be voting with the Winner's Ballot? The Best Picture ballot will be preferential ranking, but will the other categories be preferential? I think last time, we voted by picking one winner and one runner-up.

All those movies will do well on the countdown probably. The countdown is always more populist than the awards. In that thread I’m sure we’ll see like leave no trace at #28 and bohemian rhapsody in the top 5 or whatever.
