The 2019 BOFFY Awards - VOTING DEADLINE TODAY

Recommended Posts

I am looking for people to be willing to do write ups for movies!

I need two people per movie, first come first serve.  The write ups will be shown during the ceremony.  The write up should be positive, but beyond that it’s up to you how to do it.

You can do multiple write ups, but don’t volunteer for more than three unless we’re needing more volunteers.

Infinity War (Tele, Ruk)

BlacKkKlansman (slam, CoolEric)

Blindspotting (Panda, 1 slot)

The Favourite (Han, Tree)

If Beale Street Could Talk (CoolEric, 1 Free Slot)

Leave No Trace (Ethan, 1 Free Slot)

Mission: Impossible - Fallout (TOG, 1 free slot)

Roma (Ror, 1 Free Slot)

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (Blanks, Ruk)

A Star is Born (slam, cap)

I'll do one for either Spiderverse or Infinity War. I can also do one for Blackkklansman or the Favourite if you're running low on volunteers. They might just be a slight rehash of my End-of-Year list write-ups though.

I did not have time to formulate my own list of nominees; but there were not too many head scratchers in the final list. I will never understand the lover for Bohemian Rhapsody (a bad film) and A Star Is Born (a mediocre film) but I am guessing people were just caught up in awards season hype.

i have previously expressed my general indifference to IW, which was a repetitive and yawn-inducing flick. It will not receive my vote in any category, not even for Best Villain, mostly because of category fraud. If anything, Thanos was the hero of the film. Besides, Lively is a much more deserving winner in that category.

And you people left Love, Simon off the Best Soundtrack list? For shame!

Controversial statement forthcoming.

I was just dragged to see Bohemian Rhapsody.

I have to say that it's a film that brought tears to my eyes. It's a film that, I believe, doesn't rrally deserve to be in our Worst Picture nominations.

Rami Malek was awesome.

I just thought that the film wasn't as bad as people say it was. I was really moved by it.

So, yeah, I'll try and make sure it doesn't win that worst pictute award. It really doesn't deserve that.

I like the movie too.  I don’t think it’s best picture material.  But it’s not something I’d consider worst picture either

I’d say temporary ballot deadline right now is February 28th!

This May end up being pushed back due to how me and Spaghetti’s schedules look, but that way we have a date.

So when you send in ballots, simply rank the nominees, think of your number 1 being your main vote.  The preferential system will be used to break ties.
