.No Every superhero movie will not bomb. People are not collectively saying no to Superhero movies. They are saying no to mediocre  and bad ones with characters they don't care about.  The two good ones this year Guardians 3 and ASTV were hits.  The rest not so much. Get the quality up and they will be fine.

Quality doesn’t always matter. The Marvels was tracking low before anyone saw it. I think this will bomb. People just want Batman and Spider-Man now.

They do need to have something that stands out these days I feel. I thought Blue Beetle for example was a very well made origin story with a lot of heart that would have probably done Ant-Man 1 numbers  5 years ago, but that just didn’t stand out, so people ignored it a bit.

 

 I agree with the general idea though, quality is king.

I liked her in MI and thought H&S was dumb fun, but Jupiter was baaaaad. Hoping F4 helps her career.

I kind of don;t get why you made that feel like a shot at her by using Mission Impossible as a strike against her.

Pointing out how inconsistent her film choices were. She did fine as a sexy arms dealer, so hoping she can bring some of that energy to Sue.

Got it. I mean she's no more or less inconsistent than any other actress I would say.  She's getting raves for Napoleon even if  the movie  itself is getting mixed reviews.

Exactly.  And Marvel's not exactly in a prestige place right now, either.  Pascal will be getting paid some biiiiiig bucks to sign on... And they probably still struggled to get an A-lister for the villain...

I think it's just more likely the definition of "prestigious" was probably misused by whoever said it
