Heretic
Absolutely INCREDIBLE for WIB! :blink:Should reach £20m now. Never expected that.Excellent for TBEMH too. Should hold well throughout the coming weeks which could push it into the mid-teens. Edited March 5, 2012 by Heretic
Jonwo
Both Project X and Wanderlust did badly, Project X i think could have done a lot better with more marketing. The Muppets also had a small drop, should hit £15-16m by next weekend. TBEMH should continue to do well, I think it'll break £10m by next week.Interesting that they're hasn't been a breakout hit yet, last year there was The King's Speech, Gnomeo and Juliet, Black Swan and Tangled. So far this year only War Horse, The Woman in Black, The Muppets and now The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel have done big business. I'm expecting big numbers for The Hunger Games, The Pirates! and Wrath of the Titans,
Heretic
You mentioned 4 breakouts, which is the same as last year according to your list. :lol:I think this year is doing very well so far...I expect it to continue.
CJohn
Project X has no appeal outside of America.
Jonwo
It's already made its money back in America, anything OS is extra profit.
Robertron
Absolutely INCREDIBLE for WIB! :blink:Should reach £20m now. Never expected that.Excellent for TBEMH too. Should hold well throughout the coming weeks which could push it into the mid-teens.I'm in shock as well as to the incredible performance of WiB. I guess it was just a perfect combination of WoM and Radcliffe!
lab276
It'd be nice if it got an Australian release date. Edited March 6, 2012 by lab276

fmpro
WiB is a monster Why is it so big in the UK?Is it a british made film?
Krissykins
Yeh it's a british film. But it had a big advertising campaign, but the most important thing is the 12A rating (meaning a 1 year old can see the film if accompanied by someone over 12) and good WOM. Heretic
Let's not forget probably the most important reason: Radcliffe.
SchumacherFTW
Let's not forget probably the most important reason: Radcliffe. You're vastly overrating his part in this. People have been seeing it because it's pant pissingly scary to a lot of people.
Heretic
I really don't think it would have done nearly as well if it was some unknown actor. Of-cpurse WOM has played a massive part too though...
CJohn
It wouldn't have done half without Radcliffe.
Noctis
The majority of the film's success is because of Radcliffe.
Heretic
Can't see JC doing well here either. There hasn't been much advertisment at all, and I doubt many teens even know what the hell this is.It might manage £2-3m.
