Heretic
Frozen won’t top £60m, but it should pass £50m. That make 6 films that would have passed the mark in 2019, which is a record.

So could TROS possibly come in lower than £62 million?

Dandeak2000
If it opens at £21M, we'd be looking at the 8th biggest opening of the decade. Star Wars 7 and 8 were at 3rd and 5th respectively with £34M and £28M. It also ends up below Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 and Toy Story 3. Heretic
Toy Story 3 doesn’t really count. That was a 7 day opening.
Krissykins
Curious to see how Cats done, it was in tiny rooms from what I can tell.
Krissykins
$4.4m for Cats. That actually seems really good. Small screens and no previews either.
Jonwo
Cats should have good legs over Christmas although it does face both Spies in Disguise and Little Women which may bite into the family audience

Yeah that's £3.4M weekend, brilliant performance. I tried to get tickets but every showing was sold out in any cinema near me - as you say it was put in a lot of small screens due to Star Wars.

Maybe it’ll move into some bigger rooms now.

Krissykins
I just noticed Cats is now on more times than Jumanji and Frozen and they’re keeping it on more showtimes than the Boxing Day openers.
Heretic
Jumanji looks very busy today (much busier than Cats around me). Looks like it’s going to get a big boost over the holidays and could end up near £30m. Interested to see how Little Women performs here. It’s the type of film that could end up being a pretty big hit, especially since it’s critically acclaimed. Jonwo
I'm not sure how Cats' OW is considered poor by the media, most films would kill for that sort of OW.
