Heretic
2011 was the 2nd most attended year since 2004 in the UK. DH2 would have been a big boost, although, July 2011 was significantly down on previous years. It was actually August last year which was very strong compared to previous years. This year could beat that with TDKR and The Hobbit, but it'll be tough.http://www.cinemauk.org.uk/ukcinemasector/admissions/monthlyukcinemaadmissions2004-2011/
lab276
The Hobbit's also going to give a good boost to 2013.In any case, it's good to see that attendance in the UK is holding steady. Edited January 23, 2012 by lab276

Heretic
Very solid start to the year. Excellent for War Horse. Definitely see £20m+ as a real possibility now...

SchumacherFTW
Haywire had a two day head start though. It likely was more on par with the sitter over the 3 day weekend.

SchumacherFTW
It's a critically acclaimed film that isn't british. Then again, I think the cinema's pandering the god's waiting room crowd of the town, as we got the artist last week too.
CJohn
The Descendents was released in 4-screen theaters in Portugal. And Spain. So what is the big deal? The movie got huge openings in both countries.
