Fake
Ian Sandwell @ian_sandwell 1h Captain America: The Winter Soldier adds £2.76m (number one Fri-Sun) for £10.9m, as Muppets Most Wanted takes £897k for £3.5m. That's less than 35% drop from Fri-Sun period for Cap!
Heretic
The Amazing Spiderman 2 is opening on Wednesday 16th now instead of Friday. Very sudden change so close to release...Still, it's during the holidays, and OD is orange Wednesday + Easter weekend + bank holiday Monday which should equal a massive opening. Jonwo
Very last minute as the posters and ads are already out with the original date, the last film had a six day opening although the first day was evening performances only so I think the five day opening of TASM2 might match the first film or a small increase. John Marston
The premiere of ASM 2 happens on Thursday here I believe
Heretic
Rio 2 seems very strong so far this week, should get a big boost from the holidays.
PhilipJ2001
yeah yesterday was our best day so far on Rio. It should only improve as we get closer to Easter really. We weren't even told about the previews on Spider-Man.. pretty annoyed about that
SchumacherFTW
Pretty stupid move by Sony. I'd been assuming that was the case since last year before I saw the new ads.

Jonwo
Mid week opening work for some films but not others as it means the OW will be weakened, Maleficent is taking advantage of half term as is X-Men Days of Future Past but both The Wolverine and X-Men First Class had mid week openings so it's not new. Interesting that Guardians of the Galaxy isn't open a week early or even a mid week opening, I guess July is pretty packed with Dragon 2, Transformers, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and Jupiter Ascending. Heretic
Saw a few Spiderman tv spots tonight, they all say opening Friday. Changing the release date one week before it's meant to come out is ridiculous.
SchumacherFTW
You'd think they would learn from Paramount's mistake last year with STID.
fmpro
Yeah. Not clever..But they have been in the buissnes for a long long time, so i trust that they mean well and it will benefit the movie greatly

Heretic
Frozen is still going! 10% drop and still above $100k in its 18th week. I've noticed it's getting a lot of kids cheap showings over the holidays which should give it another boost. Crazy how long it's stayed.
