Jonwo
What movies do you think the new Star Wars trailer will play in front of? Mockingjay? I know the second teaser for some reason is attached to Bridge of Spies but DAAAARN I want to see the new one in the cinema. I reckon Spectre or Mockingjay. SchumacherFTW
I'd be shocked if it isn't with Spectre.
Heretic
Westfield have already added so many showtimes in the early hours of the 17th. 11 midnight shows and shows thereafter all the way to the morning. Pre-sales already look way stronger than Spectre (which isn't selling lightly), and that comes out on Monday! Unprecedented. Not that it's a surprise, but BFI have also sold out virtually all shows up until New Years, bar the ones at 3/4/5am etc, and some of them are close to selling out. Not bothering with the BFI for this, but definitely tempted to go to empire laser for it after a week or too.
Dan9
I've already booked both, just because... I'll probably end up booking Empire Laser a few more times as well, as well as frequent lie-max viewings along the way. Goodbye money. Heretic
BFI has sold out the 3:15 and 6:30am shows. Crazy. Don't think I've ever seen a 6am show sell out before, not even at the BFI. And definitely not 2 months out.

Heretic
Nah. Think Star Wars will be taking this.
Jonwo
I expect Spectre will be £60-70m total.
Heretic
Star Wars is topping £70m. Edited October 22, 2015 by Heretic
SchumacherFTW
I've just seen 0720 IMAX screenings on the cineworld website. That truly is unprecedented! Even DH2 didn't show that early in the morning!
SchumacherFTW
Just checked my local cineworld listings for Monday. Suddenly, the 8pm/9pm shows for Paranormal Activity and Last Witch Hunter have disappeared. Spectre is about to become the first film to show on every single screen at my local cineworld at the same time!
Heretic
Vue Birmingham has 34 shows for SW between midnight and 7am on the 17th. Can't wait to see how big this opens. Edited October 23, 2015 by Heretic
SchumacherFTW
Anyone else noticed that Dad's Army has randomly started booking today? That's absurdly early for a film that might not make £10m!

It looks okay but i doubt it's a film that going to have high presales. I imagine BvS will be the next big film to have high presales although obviously not on the scale of Star Wars and Spectre
Olive
what is the OW record? any chance ep7 breaks it?
Dan9
what is the OW record? any chance ep7 breaks it? Deathly Hallows Part 2 with $38.3M. It's possible but highly unlikely now that SW is opening on a Thursday. Biggest 4-day for sure.
Heretic
I've never seen pre-sales anything like this, not even for DH2. If it was opening on Friday, it'd take OW record. But yeah, biggest 4 day is happening for sure.
Arthur Pendragon
200,000 presales in the first 24h in the UK??? That's fucking huge
SchumacherFTW
Demand for Spectre doesn't look like it's going to be met tonight, I've already started to see sell outs for tomorrow!
