That gives it the biggest seven-day opening ever, zooming past the record set by 2004’s Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban which was also released on a Monday, to £23.88M. Spectre also set a new record for the highest seven-day gross in UK box office history — that record was previously held by 2012’s Skyfall. Made more money in one week than any movie did last year at all... Won't beat Skyfall's record in the end though. I know we've been expecting this all week with the daily reports, but still, actually seeing that number is crazy. 50% drops from here on in will get this to £80m on the nose. Demand is crazy high so I think we'll still see some big numbers this week/weekend, but would then expect some bigger drops later in the run.
