HalloFromGermany
I hope Creed will do OK in the UK.
Heretic
Revenant looks way busier than Creed, some cinemas have made a mistake by giving their biggest screen to that. Shows aren't meeting demad for Revenant tonight, they look full up already, which probably mean added showtimes next weekend. I think it'll shape up something like: Revenant: £4m SW: £3.5m Creed: £2.5m
TigerPaw
I understand that Ip Man 3 is having a limited release, but any news on its box office?
Jonwo
Revenant's running time limits its showtime plus I imagine WB has it in the contract that they can't cancel screenings of Creed, I wouldn't be surprised if The Danish Girl, Hateful Eight and Joy get showings axed in favour of The Revenant
Heretic
It's sold out 7,8 and 9pm at Vue Westfield. 9:50 show will sell out too.
The Dark Alfred
Revenant clearly wins Friday. Details later, but defo over £1m. SW and Creed battling it out for 2nd, below The Revenant combined. H8 suffers heavy drop as expected. Room starts with great PTA, expecting a decent run riding the awards buzz around it.

The third week of January does work for Leo films, will be interesting if The Revenant get close to Wolf of Wall Street's OW.
mepal1
Forget the Revenant, what i want to know is will Spectre reach £95 mil before the end of its run, last i heard it had £94.25 mil in the bank.

Heretic
Very good for the Revenant. It has somehow got the two biggest screens at my closest cinema tonight, after one of them belonged to Creed yesterday. 7pm show has also been added. I think cinemas definitely misjudged this and over-predicted Creed. Won't be surprised to see The Revenant get close to £2m today. Day business looks strong for an adult skewing film. Joel M
Will it open bigger than Wolf and Djang?. I think those two are the best comparisons for Revenant in most territorries.

It was at £94.58m last Sunday, according to BFI's weekly box office reports.
Heretic
Revenant is doing insane business tonight. It's sold out both of the biggest screens at my nearest cinema, another show has been added at 9:15.
SchumacherFTW
My 9pm show of Creed this evening was about 75% full I'd say. Fucking love that film so much!
The Dark Alfred
Yea did a triple bill, Revenant, Room and Creed. Three strong films. Ended up liking Creed the most. Sat Rev £2.1, SW £1.34 - without a doubt UK became it's most impressive market, even ahead of the US, Creed £0.9
Heretic
That is incredible for The Revenant, especially since it only has 4 or 5 shows a day at most sites. It should hit £5m for the weekend which is ahead of Wolf of Wall Street.
Heretic
Exchange rate has plummeted this week. 1.42 now, wouldn't surprise me if it falls below 1.4 soon, which would be the lowest since the early 2000s. Doesn't bode well for films this year. Doubt we'll see any hit the $100m mark, which now requires £70m.

Possibly Rogue One depending on how it's marketed and received.
