Rogue One: A Star Wars Story up to around £46.2m in the UK ahead of its third weekend.

Amazing week for Rogue One. Almost £12m Mon-Thu. Should hit £52m by Sunday.

SW7 made another £26m after the 3rd weekend. If RO were to do half of that, it would make it to £65m, which seems pretty much guaranteed as RO is now closing the gap a little on TFA's run at the same point.

The fun thing about Ian's tweets is... he said he will be on vacation and not give input till Tuesday.

And then he gives daily an UK update for SW R1 (and nothing else, not even his beloved sport). Strange vacation, maybe its :raining: and he is bored?

= not seriously meant ;)

Because of the weird way releases are counted, the films that open on NYD will be counted until next weekend so essentially an eight day opening.

I expect because the weekend will be slightly be deflated because of NYE and also NYD falling on a Sunday but that will be more than made up since Monday will be a Bank holiday.

R1 will be big on Monday also because of Bank Holiday, won't it?

Yeah, could be it's biggest day of the 4-day. Probably will do around £10m Fri-Mon.

This upcoming week a lot of schools are still closed. Some start again on Wednesday and Thursday, and the rest next Monday, so weekday business should still be quite strong.

I dont know if something has changed but the last time I checked Japan, FB was predicted to end up between 65 and 70 m dollars... Japan's and UK's numbers also, are FAR more impressive than China's when population is considered.

Amazing week for FB! At around £51m now.

It'll pass $65m easily this week, might get close to $70m, which is £56.5m. Incredible run.

I don't know if FB could make another £5m since it'll start shedding cinemas with big January releases like La La Land, Live by Night, Sing etc
