Vue Westfield virtually sold out all day until late night for La La Land. This is incredible, it's acting like a massive event film here. It seems to be performing exceptionally well in the London area, even my two local Odeons are looking crazy busy.  Doesn't look quite as busy in other parts of the country from what I've seen, but still performing very well. It'll probably catch on though.

I'm fully expecting over £5m 4-day, and I'm going out on a limb and saying £30m+ will happen. It has literally everything going for it.

Definitely. We could see a repeat of Les Mis here, which had the same release date in 2013, especially since this is going to, and already has done way better than that film awards wise. WOM will be very strong.

It wont open as strong (I think), but it should have a great multiplier.

£30m will be tricky but I think £25m is doable.

Overseas, La La Land is singing loudly. Lionsgate insiders expect the movie to open to a stellar $6 million in the U.K. this weekend as it dances past the $50 million mark internationally.

Car park for the cinema here in Huntingdon is heaving tonight! La La Land looks like its killing it here!

you're in Duxford right? out of curiosity what makes you choose Huntingdon over Haverhill which is a lot closer? hell actually from Duxford I would think Stevenage is the same distance as Hunts from you. & btw there is also a cineworld in St Neots which is slightly closer than Hunts but it's brand new and much nicer :)

sorry if I've asked you this before

I go for timings. For what I needed last night, Huntingdon fit the bill. I usually do Stevenage though as the number of screens makes it easier, if it's after work I'll go in Huntingdon as I work there. I only use Haverhill for unlimited screenings, it's so tiny I can't get a good run going there.
