The early read on Monday is normal, for all the  new folks on here. Maleficent plays to a younger crowd overall and Joker is of course playing like an adult R rated film.

@MCKillswitch123 on a 2nd note, the Maleficent sequel opened above Dumbo, The Jungle Book and Aladdin. I literally just noticed it now. It is crazy.

Misread your comment on Mal2's weekend, my bad. I thought you meant here in the US domestically, because Mal2 over here opened a lot lower compared to the first film, Dumbo, and Aladdin. So yeah, it's bad.

Interesting that both Friday jumps were 104%. I guess because Joker is such a strong weekday player we can't expect the Fridays to be that strong. Otherwise, this weekend's Saturday jump and Sunday drop were almost exactly what I predicted (Sat +45%, Sun -35% is what I had) and pretty standard.
