narniadis
As always thank you @sfran43 --- I would love to know what data or premonitions BoPro has to think that Sonic is pulling 31m... genuinely a confusing prediction before the Wed drop and now worse.

Probably the family film = amazing weekend jumps guess I think. r/boxoffice is gonna have a meltdown this weekend. They think BoPro's number is accurate and are expecting a sub-50% drop.

Oh I would love for it to manage a -50% as that would be a great post holiday opening hold. Just not sure how its possible - barring the film acting out of line with the last few years. Its possible if it plays like a kiddie film instead of one with mixed demographics 🤷♂️ 150%+100%-30% would get it to 30m if it stays flat today, but that would be highly unusual for the last several years in this time frame. Guess we shall see 😁

Krissykins
A 60% drop for a family film with no competition is... not good. We’ll see, maybe I’ll have a huge increase. Cinemascore need to stop polling the hardcore fans on opening night.

Can’t imagine many couples choosing Sonic as their date film lol. This one is playing to more families than other video game films I think? DAJK
I honestly just can't see Sonic dropping that hard this weekend. Some of the Friday jump projections just seem way too low imo.
