Surpass Avengers Endgame in First-day pre-sale,not 24 hours pre-sale

Nah lol. IGN just doesn't know how to read. The Deadline article they quote say's this..

While some in the industry are still trying to blame a lackluster box office on the pandemic, think again: Sony’s Spider-Man: No Way Home in its first day of pre-sales yesterday on Fandango saw its best day since 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.

And this is the exact thing Erik Davis (frontman for Fandango) says in his Tweet. Biggest SINCE Endgame, but Endgame is still tops. Also just an FYI, first day = first 24 hours.

$7M Mexico 24 hours 🤐 +40% Endgame. @Carlangonz you think believable?

Other markets to score the best-ever presales in the first full day include the UK, Spain, Brazil and Central America.

UK, at 12 days out from release, was seeing advance sales at three times those of No Time To Die at the same point.

Brazil’s advances are 5% over Endgame at the same point; Poland is showing the best presales since Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker; Portugal passed No Time To Die’s total presales in three days; and Australia and Turkey are on par with Endgame.

24 hours Presale=When the pre-sale started ,how many people buy the ticket in 24 hours

First-Day Presale=How many people buy the first-day ticket

Assuming a worlwide opening of 500 million sans china+japan etc , i think that we will see a finish in the 1,3-1,5 billion range without china+japan etc , now if we add japan +china (IF it gets release) and 1 or 2 markets that have left. Then maybe we could add another 300-500 million ....to the ww total

Well, as I said in the local thread, MTC 2 is overperforming and did beat Endgame but seems rather impressive that overall made that much more, I would expect more like 10%-15%. Perhaps is also overindexing in 3rd tier cities which I don't track. It's also jaw-dropping considering that both chains' online systems failed pretty much the entire day and in-booth was the only way to get tickets.

Ranking in a couple of hours, but before that, an update on Spider-Man: Velox Tickets, that sells tickets online and currently have 2 million users, is reporting that the pre-sales of their platform so far are surpassing Endgame in 50%, and 76% sold-out in general.

Cinemex has doubled sales from Day One. Mexico City and Metro Area has now outsold Endgame's final figures. Other cities have slowed but still ahead. At some point this week it'll double Infinity War total number.

Wait, just a few days ago we perdict Spiderman will cross $2B,at least Jurassic World, but now just $1.2-1.4B?

Given people asumed $400m - $500m in china 1.2-1.4b translate to 1.6/1.7 - 1.9b so that would explain it 😛

$2B with China, sure. Without China, no.

Most people were predicting $300M or more for China.

I think it's still going to do $1.5B+ even without it but not $2B without.
