50+71,5+80 (+11%)+56 (-30%)= 257,5 mln$

I can see it going possibly as high as 270 mln$. 

Second biggest opening of all time imo secured.

Actually CIneplex has just started selling tickets again for Sat and opened up a lot of extra shows.

 

Tickets are being bought up fast so it shows  emand is high and i expect mostly full shows today.

That would be shocking. An A+, GA friendly December movie being flat on Saturday doesn't seem possible even at this size.

Well like here in ontario they just started selling ticket let right before theaters opened online so afternoon shows may not be to busy

Not at all shocking. I've been expecting this to be the case for weeks now. December mega openers barely grow and SATs have been soft this year.

Yea that's the issue. You've got a built in bias already. This time yesterday you thought Friday would be $65M and it was over $70M. You have to adjust to what is, not what was.

Yeah but this isn't his gut take but a data based take. And considering how Saturdays have been this year with families still a bit depressed, it's hardly inconceivable.
