Jujutsu originally was going a moderate wide run, but on Monday they decided to blow it out and were taking anything, so might be around 3k runs.

It’s selling insanely well in my region. Would be honestly shocked if it didn’t make double digits.

Correct. Seems like horror films just don't bring in a ton of pre-sales at my theater, unless it's part of an established franchise (Halloween Kills and Scream were monster sellers here).

See, horror doesn't usually sell insanely strongly in my region (which is why during big horror weekends, I can only ever really use other horror titles as appropriate comps). But A24 is insanely popular here, and so X has had some pretty decent pre-sales. Expecting walk-ups to be absolute trash though :(

More or less matched the pace of Shang-Chi; outpaced the comp against Let There Be Carnage.  Don't expect to see that tomorrow though as LTBC had a very strong Day 3 before settling back down to a more normal pattern.

When was the last time a studio comedy crossed 100M domestic? We’re the Millers? Or am I forgetting one?

I guess we could count Free Guy although that's also firmly rooted in the action/sci-fi genres. There was also Crazy Rich Asians although that also had book popularity to boost it. Pretty sure the last non-sequel comedy to hit $100M was Girls Trip.

Oh yea, forgot about Girls Trip. I guess there was also Bad Moms and Trainwreck too. Still, the market’s been pretty barren the last 5-10 years.
