If it's just a ten-second cameo during the post-credits, I don't see how that would convince anyone but diehards to buy a ticket for a 2-hour movie that otherwise has nothing to do with him. His full appearance would be on Youtube/TikTok within thirty seconds of the movie premiering. It's hardly a Tobey/Andrew situation.

Ooh, some gains in the Kills comp. Maybe that’s a positive sign. I’m sure Universal will really kick up the marketing this week.

Smile is genuinely turning into a beast at the locations I've been tracking lately. Pretty much all locations are seeing sub 20 or even sub 10% drops this weekend, and a few are even seeing increases, which is practically unheard of in the horror genre. 

 

If it weren't for Halloween next weekend, I wouldn't rule out a domestic total close to The Ring (2002) unadjusted.
