Don't know for certain yet, lots of theaters don't have showtimes up. If I had to guess, probably similar to the Avatar re-release back in September?

 

Weirdly, a decent amount of Marcus locations are favoring Magic Mike 3 for their theater-branded PLF screens that weekend.

Couple of notes:

 

Apparently Calgarys thurs seats remaining was 44406....had to remove that extra 4, so I will go and adjust the calgary only previously posted....dang extra digit lol

 

Total percentage-just so there's no confusion, the total percentage is of the total sold/total seats, I did NOT SUM the percentages lol, the percentages are are left there more for anyone who wants to compare the percents between the individual cities/provinces.

 

Finally, these numbers are an approximation snapshot as it were. Because Im only doing one (or in case of Quebec/East 2) places a day, obviously there will be additional sales Ive missed from previous days-so again more a general idea just to get an idea of what canada is looking like overall. My first time trying this so any suggestions/feedback ect appreciated

Okay, in serious mode, I didn’t know this movie existed until getting a trailer on Puss OD but these sales seem mad impressive to me for what it is.

 

Makes a man wonder about book club 2 — if memory serves I think @baumer may be looking forward to that run?

Don't have direct comps as I took a hiatus on BP2 between T-33 and T-19, and did not start Thor until T-17. But the pace is really good for Friday especially.

 

My first number for Thor Fri was T-15 night at 11835, there's a good chance that Ant-Man will be 10k+ by then, and the ratio will be even better than that looks, since Thor had many more shows than AM and Marcus does have default blocked seats on shows. 

 

With this pace I think that the actual Fri sales for Ant-Man here won't be far behind Thor at all at that point. For Thu, expecting the Thor comp to be in the 19-20 range at that point.

 

BP2 comp will probably be 20.5 for Thu and ~34 for Fri with at the next checkpoint (T-19), with the same blocked seats caveat. 

 

TLDR: Thu running similarly to elsewhere, Fri sales pretty strong, likely not far behind Thor 4. If it keeps this up won't be surprised with weekend over L&T since Sat/Sun should be ahead if Fri is close.
