Still going at pretty solid pace. Better trend than Batman. Batman was 6k at T-14 days, this will be 5k+.

 

Now, looking deeper, California & Phoenix 4 theaters, which are best performers for the chain are not that hot for this. 

 

California makes only 862 of these i.e 18% as compared to usual 30% this far out. The Batman was 1692 at T-14. Phoenix 4 are better at 1643 vs 2273 of The Batman (T-14). CA being 50%, Phoenix 4 being 72%.

 

BUT. The smaller theaters, the other 25 of them, have 2098 sold vs 2035 of The Batman. 

 

I don't have any good comps for this. Eternals comp is $23M approx, Black Widow is $26M. LOL.The Batman is around $17M.

I wouldn't read too much into the BW comp, as BW was still in its initial surge phase, and even the sheer amount of extra days JWD had isn't enough to really counteract it.  Yet.

 

But I literally don't have anything better as the only other T-24 comps I have are the Day 1 comps for Eternals and Sonic 2.  The Sonic 2 comp is a complete non-starter (50m+), while the Eternals looks fine, actually, (18.6m). But it'll go down rapidly as it settles into the initial CBM surge.

 

So, just gonna have to wait a while for comps to stabilize/more comps to arrive (and for them to stabilize).

The Jurassic World Double Feature, well double feature, started getting rolled out at Regal theaters locally tonight.  Only accounted for two of the ticket sales though, so I suspect it was added fairly late in the day/people aren't aware of it that much yet.

I'm new to this forum and still trying to interpret the charts being posted and what they mean for a films predicted performance. Are things looking promising for Top Gun? I really want the film to be a success and kick-start a bit of a renaissance in old 80's / 90's style action cinema! 

Also, is there a beginners guide to understanding the charts anywhere?
