Doesn't sound like Black Phone is moving.

Jason Blum just posted about the film.

Anyone know when the ticket sales are moving to?

Black Phone is not moving, since the TV spots are already airing.

First data from @ZackM for TGM was on 12th. It had sold 49K+ at that time. of course it sold another 31K early tickets as well. But comparing to JWD to just thursday TGD and expecting similar pace tomorrow, its low 20s% ahead of it. But TGD maintained good pace and JWD has to accelerate at some point to stay ahead of TGD.

Sold another 10k tickets for today's screenings after only selling 14k up to this point.  Another strong day overall.  Really curious to see how tomorrow shakes out.

Just now, Alex SciChannel said:

I might've missed it but what were the grosses looking like for Top Gun Maverick EA screenings Tue and Wed?

I think they will only report it in one-go after preview night. Similar to TLC.

TLC? And I don't remember the studio reporting Downton Abbey 2 EA gross. Shawn had to tell us on the forum ($900K, $1.95M incl Thursday previews).

I would say at most around 500K today for TGM. There were shows beyond AMC including Canada. AMC around 320K. But yesterday's gross exceeded 4m for sure.

Damn! That's a big gap between 500K and 4M. Why does Wed look low compared to yesterday?

today it was mostly investor connect shows at AMC and that too in 2D digital only. beyond that there were few chains including canada which had few shows. yesterday was all Imax/PLF across all chains. Almost 1050 shows if I am not wrong.

Very interesting. Tuesday was like a pseudo wide release in a way. I am not familiar with the Early Access strategy of releasing a film. I think I remember something similar happened for HTTYD3. But very intriguing thing to track and look for.

Is it safe to say that whatever happened to NTTD last few days of presale won’t be happening to TGM?

TUE around $3.9M.

WED $600K+. C$275K+ in Canada. $45K in Drafthouse. $320K AMC. $50K others may be.

Are you sure about tuesday. We tracked around 3.7 to 3.8m while missing numbers for another 100 shows. It seems low to me.

Yeah, this matched yesterday. I would say it's a bad sign, but Philly seems way down compared to other markets, and I feel confident my sales today were a fluke. Still very, very weird however.
