Now Deadline is saying that BA is tracking for $65-70M. Movie is strongest with "males under/over 25" (uh, why not just say males?), women under 25, Latinos, and families. So splitting the current ranges, we have BOT at $62, THR at $72, and Deadline at $68.

All three of them over $60m and I was assuming $40-50m. That’s positive though.

Halloween Ends

SW/Toronto Ontario

  # theatre #show Seats Sold Seats Rem Ttl seat Percent
Thurs 20 33 214 5991 6205 0.0344
Fri 20 24 392 16727 17119 0.0228

Comp

Thurs

x 1.345 Nope (1.21 Mil Cdn, 25 Mil Can/US)

Fri

x 3.45 Nope (3.4 Mil Cdn, 65 Mil Can/US)

Again that proviso about Can/US domestic being WAY skewed sometimes due to difference between countries, but its still interesting to see

No Smile number yet- I was playing around with an approx number (400 k) but I was getting FUN numbers where 288 seats were sold for T-9 while smile in SW/Toronto had....11. So you do that comp calculation and the numbers were coming up like a 35 mil comp LOL

Just as a quick clarification on why today's numbers are soft, part of the issue is that there was an error the past few days with my tallying. A couple days ago, one of my theaters pulled their IMAX showings of Halloween Ends and Black Adam. I assumed it was a glitch and that the IMAX showings would be back up later. But that never happened and Black Panther 2 doesn't have IMAX at this theater. I contacted the theater management, and they said their IMAX theater is closed for renovations and won't be up until Way of Water. So I had to remove 43 tickets from the Seats Sold section. And yeah, this meant we missed out on a real good 61 tickets sold. However, transparency is more important than fancy numbers and things are now fixed accordingly. I apologize for not looking into this problem earlier.

Again, like Halloween Ends, this is due to an error and false assumption that one of my theaters IMAX shows were removed due to a glitch, not because of a renovation. But yeah, this is far less rosier. Ignore the 58 tickets now removed, and we only sold six tickets. Not sure why tonight was a bad night for the film, but this stuff happens I suppose. And now the comps are at what they are supposed to be at, which is what really matters.
