I agree as well. I am seeing 290-300 range. but with late strong walkups it could go to 305 and around 4.95m finish. MTC2 might however hit Ant 3 levels.

That said previews could still go higher than Ant 3 as it has 350-400K from the imax marathon.

@Porthos how many imax shows in your final total. I am not expecting that many as you track MTC2 and few smaller chains.

Marathon IMAX, you mean?  Just two showings.  119 tickets sold [78 at $49, 41  at $45].

As always, green cells are final, everything else is in progress.

Anyways, it's sitting at 272K.

Just as I guessed based on the trend I saw(290-300). Its possible very few Imax/PLF's start their shows between those hours and that has a huge impact on sales as compared to Ant 3. It all depends on movie length and when the shows start.

Yep, AM3 is 24 minutes shorter than Vol 3 so its possible that those premium screens would have found an extra late show for it in comparison

yes you did need to see them cause otherwise you wouldn't understand any of the main characters or give a shit about them

AM was not telling a cohesive trilogy story like GotG is is my point. You could pop in at any point of the AM trilogy and none of them really seem like you’re right in the middle of something. Especially since 1 and 2 are so minor anyways in terms of anything important happening.

LOL. I am not sure how Deadline is predicting previews while the shows are on !!! I dont think even numbers can be seen at comscore. So they are throwing darts based on some formula(may be studio exec or insider shared thursday presale number or relative data).

I just plugged in MTC1 $ value of my run that finished at 730PM PST to Shazam and did comp and it came to 14.3m. This is the not the final number and Guardians wont be as skewed to MTC1 as shazam. So basically this is impossible.

Advance ticket sales for GOTG3, I hear, have picked up and are nearing the $37M threshold that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania had on its Thursday eve before a $106.1M 3-day, $120.3M 4-day opening.

We’re also hearing that 62% of GOTG3‘s presales are for tonight or tomorrow. That’s encouraging when juxtaposed to the 65%-71% presales tied to the first Thursday/Friday of the last four Marvel movies.

Just imagine Reddit if this is true lmao. I don't think it is though 😔

Go and create a thread in boxoffice subreddit for laughs. Snyder bros would scream happily and ask for Gunn to be fired and Snyderverse sold to Netflix :-)

Someone already did that, but it's filled with reasonable people saying it's a lowball. No fun 😔
