I wasn't a huge fan of Candyman or anything (it had good performances and a creepy atmosphere even if it was a tad messy and rushed towards the conclusion) but it certainly doesn't deserve being mentioned among the worst of the year, especially not compared to nonsense like The Woman in the Window (can we charge a movie for crimes against strong actors? Cause there's a good candidate that argues in favor for it) or apparent Twitter Oscar favorite Cinderella (years from now people are gonna be watching that and be baffled that something like it was made in 2021).

neither of those films made the shortlist for Worst Feature so it's not my fault i haven't seen them lmao

according to my list of 146 films my ballot without shortlists woulda been

The Addams Family 2

Candyman

Dear Evan Hansen

Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard

I Care A Lot

Tom & Jerry

candyman is the best of these six but being one of the bottom six films of the year still means its shitty haha

I wish people here had the same animosity they have for Candyman towards Soho. A horror movie that also tried to tackle relevant themes but not only falls flat on its face but ends with a disgusting message.

I hate Soho and voted for it in the catagory too lol
