Don't Look Up sucked aside from Jonah Hill, who has been missing far too long. McKay is 0-2 with Vice and DLU after the incredible Big Short. Even Meryl Streep was terrible.

Spielberg for JAWS and Streisand for Prince of Tides are other examples off the top of my head where their films got best picture noms and they didn't for director.  I'm sure there's many more.

Barry and Cyborg were both really well done in ZSJL. The moment did work really well within the film. But...nobody saw it. Everyone and their mom has seen NWH.

You underestimate online stans who can easily game the system if literally handed the opportunity to do so.
