Hobbit2 might lose the weekend after all, "Medicus" is showing fantastic holds:

 

#1: Medicus - 625k admissions

#3: Frozen - 375k

#4: FJG! - 300k

#6: PA4.5 - 250k

#7: Buddy - 150k

#8: CF - 100k

 

With possibly 8 movies over 100k admissions, a really fantastic weekend!

Can't complain thou will do $90 mil no problem.

It should land very close to 100mil US$ (mind, that's Germany+Austria) and if it manages drops <50% it might still reach that mark. This weekend, there's virtually nothing important opening, but then we get Wolf of Wall Street, 47 Ronin, 12YaS, Anchorman2 which will all take small bites out of the Hobbit demo and especially screens - and as soon as the HFR screens are gone (which are usually the biggest), drops will become steeper.

It is still doing $9M in the weekend and it is about $18M from a $100M milestone.

Either way, HOBBIT 2 is another great success for Warner/LotR/Jackson

No, in admissions, it's not close at all - AUJ was at nearly 6.7mil admissions, DoS will propably crawl to 6.0mil max.
