BO Germany/Austria: Dune first 2024 blockbuster (3mil admissions)

Will level out at 17mil US$ Germany + Austria combined, maybe less if Thor snatches away the biggest 3D screens

I expect this to do $30M.

Don't know how it should get there, would basically have to stay flat until 2014.

 

First weekend trend:

#1: Cloudy2 - 275k admissions (ok opening)

#2: Frau Ella - 200k (that's only a 10% drop?! - wow)

#3: Bad Grandpa - 175k (very good if true, much like Jackass3D)

#4: Gravity - 100k (finally losing some oxygen)

 

Ender's Game opens to about 75k ... opened only semiwide, no trust from distributors and managers. Thor2 will kill it fast next weekend.

Bad Grandpa had a fantastic internal multiplier, should continue with good numbers! And it was #1 in Austria, too - beating Rush's 4th weekend by a few thousand.

TH3's $31M Germany/Austria take is the highest from a single OS country.

Yep - in Austria, Hangover2 was the #3 film of 2011, and Hangover3 will probably be #3 of 2013.

First weekend trend: Thor with 575k admissions (including previews) which would be up a whopping 67% from Thor 1 and also highre than Avengers' opening.

While other 3D/action fare is crumbling under Thor's assault,  German comedy "Frau Ella" stays flat with about 200k again(!!!-this will get an absolutely crazy multiplier for a wide opening); CwaCoM2 with 175k and BadGrandpa with 150k have the expected drops.

Semiwide opener "Paganini" opens to about 75k, "Inside Wikileaks" a mediocre 40k.
