IMO I am not really impressed by Avatar's run over holiday (between 25th-02Jan). The increase in 3rd week is more like a "should be" thing after snowstorm effect impacting the 2nd weekend.

 

Seeing how PIB2 hold and Avatar numbers, I have confirmed the pandemic has permanently change cinemagoing over every holiday. The holiday bumo just become smaller and people appreciate other activities more than going to movie.

TFA : 38%

RogueOne : 38.5%

TLJ : 50%

TROS : 45.5%

NWH : 38.5%

 

Looks like A2 is gonna end up at 29% drop

NWH held better on its 6th wknd than the MLK 3-day and A2 has been outperforming NWH's weekend holds all month. Don't see why it can't have a -25% or better drop this coming weekend, and even better the next. 

 

Unless I'm missing some other event that will affect its box office for the rest of January?
