Is 80 for Brady's lower pricing strategy really worked? I feel like the movie didn't attract crowd beyond its target audience with that lower price approach. It is just collecting smaller amount of money from the same level of admission.

Yeah I thought it'd have better legs and reach 60m

Honestly the best way to move forward is to scale back on content for Marvel. Probably too late now but they could try readjusting the schedule once more (3 movies and 2 shows):

Phase 5 continued:

5/3/2024 - New World Order

7/26/2024 - Thunderbolts

11/8/2024 - Blade

(Echo and Ironheart are the 2024 shows, turn Nova into a special)

2/14/2025 - Deadpool and Wolverine

5/2/2025 - Spider-Man 4

Phase 6:

11/7/2025 - Fantastic Four

(Agatha and Daredevil are the 2025 shows)

2026 could be a combination of Shang-Chi 2, Armor Wars and Eternals 2

2027 could be Doctor Strange 3, Kang Dynasty and Black Panther 3

2028 - World War Hulk, Secret Wars, Champions

Well they already have at least 3 other shows in development, Wonder Man, Vision Quest, and Nova, so maybe they'll move stuff back but they aren't cancelling anything. In the same way Eternals reviews did not mean they radically altered all their plans either.

Some stuff I can see being retooled into special presentations if necessary. Looking at Nova, Vision Quest and maybe Agatha for instance (though I think they're filming the latter).

Agatha is already filming so definitely no. I also don't think they can just turn the plans for these huge miniseries and just make them into 30 minutes specials easily, it's not like Werewolf or the Guardians Holiday special were really breaking the bank budget wise. Plus they probably already had plans for the specials they were already making

They can always increase the runtime as Werewolf by Night was 53 minutes, can easily see a few getting turned into 90 minute specials.

Ant-Man:

Feb 24: 30.9M (9.3M weekdays, 175.3M Total)

Mar 3: 10.7M (3.8M weekdays, 189.7M Total)

Mar 10: 5.1M (1.6M weekdays, 196.4M Total)

Mar 17: 1.9M (800k weekdays, 199.1M Total)

Mar 24: 800k (300k weekdays, 200.2M Total)

Final Total: 202M (1.9x from 3 day/1.67x from 4 day)

Pitiful. 200M isn't even safe anymore, and it's almost guaranteed a sub-2x and total below Ant-Man and the Wasp. I'm assuming the early Creed IMAX shows on Tuesday will dampen any increase for Ant-Man when almost half of the box office is coming from PLF, so poor weekdays will lead into another 55-60%+ drop next weekend. By the time Scream is out, who will care anymore? Another 60% drop that weekend would likely kill 200M. There's no way to spin this as a win for the MCU.

With the VFX involved there's no way they could condense a 150 plus million dollar series into a single special.

Mods punished me for pointing this out but when other franchises do far worse than this has, like Morbius, there is far less sky is falling pandemonium.

YESSSSSSSS

Been a long time since we had a good, high-quality fudging.

They did this a few weeks ago and it ended up being a typo. Hopefully this time it’s real lol.

Puss In Boots holds have been excellent, but imagine if it had a good opening weekend.
