Higher standards and expectations will only push Hollywood to aim higher.

DK was a great movie - but it was expected to be. Fanboys are being shocked all round America at just how awesome TA is. They will be returning on Saturday just to make sure they weren't dreaming. That's what TA really has going for it.

I definitely think it can do $70 million on Saturday.

I think we can expect an announcement of Avengers 2 within the next couple weeks... Maybe Ant Man or Dr. Strange too if we're lucky.Also, I don't think TDKR will break this record. Honestly, I'd be surprised if it passed DH2's OW. The numbers are too damn high.

Not yet, we'll know on Monday. But we can estimate. It most likely would've ended up with 48.6M without 3D on Friday (without midnights), which is the 5th-6th biggest of all time. TDK, ROTS, DMC, NM, TF2, and Matrix Reloaded are all ahead Edited May 5, 2012 by spizzer
