Brad Bird Exits Espionage Project

Brad Bird will no longer direct the Year 5 original espionage film from Blankments Productions. The film will now be directed and co-wrote by Matthew Vaughn. Bird stated, "I had an awesome time writing the screenplay with Matt and I'm glad Blankments gave me the opportunity to make the film; however, there is another project that interests me for Year 5 as well at Blankments, and I will do that film instead." Blankments Productions Announces Bond Franchise Plans

In a press conference earlier today, Edward Nadny revealed his studio's plans for the previous announced Bond trilogy. They will all be original films telling a complete story of Bond's time with the MI6, under the guidance of Duncan Jones, Christopher Nolan, and Danny Boyle. Nadny said, "We want to make the ideal Bond trilogy, so we went to three of the best working directors to write and direct each of the movies." Nadny explained that all three directors will co-write and produce each film, but one will direct at a time. The first, currently untitled, Bond film is hoped to be released at the end of Year 4, but may be delayed to Year 5 if the first director wishes to work on it more.

Karate Kong Sequel Announced For Summer Yr 5

Karate Kong pleasantly surprised the studio with both a great gross & great reviews accross the board in Year 3. The film was also nominated for an academy award.

The creators had thought of a sequel beforehand but they weren't sure how the movie would do. Because of the success the studio is letting them have more creative control over the second movie.

All we know right now is that the second movie will be much larger in scale & that the creators have urged that they want each movie to be a standalone experience. So no cliffhangers basically, they want it to be self contained. We're very happy with this decision!

We look forward to seeing our beloved Ape back on screens!

FINAL FANTASY News

The studio is working very hard on the next FINAL FANTASY. The last one came in Year 2, and was followed by a direct sequel this year which wasn't branded as Final Fantasy.

This movie is the big deal & we can now officially reveal that the movie is based off FINAL FANTASY IV. Dawn OF Souls used Final Fantasy II as its inspiration, this one will use Final Fantasy IV (released as Final Fantasy II in USA back then).

It's set for a Christmas Year 6 launch.

Now that's news for the main series.

What about Dawn of Souls? The studio says that if Dawn of Souls II is a success they may actually consider continuing the franchise. The studio wants to turn Dawn of Souls into its own self contained series, that much is clear now. With the lukewarm reviews Dawn of Souls II has received this could backfire.

Silver Shark Entertainment with huge return for Year 5

Today CEO of Silver Shark Entertainment announced that the studio will return after a break of one year with a huge line-up. Aside from the final installment of the highly succesfull franchise "SpellForce" there will be another big-to-huge budget tentpole for the summer and some smaller films.

After SpellForce - Breath of Winter grossed more than 1 billion at the BoxOffice, the studio heads didn´t wanted to rush the finale of the franchise and gave Rupert Wyatt the time to develop the script and full control over the project. Also it was announced that the final chapter of the saga will be completely shot in 3D, which makes it the first film of the series to be in this format. Also the budget is significantly higher than the former installments. The director has been given over $250 million to create a bombastic good-bye to the beloved series. (Note: the former films have had budget of $150 million) So stay tuned for the final film which will hit theaters all over the world in December of Year 5.

Also the often pushed-back thriller drama "Sons of War" finally is done with principal photography and now in post production. Rumors say that the budget went overboard from estimated $60 million to ~ $100 million.

Also SSE announced that the signed Joel and Ethan Coel for their upcoming horror-drama "Day Z" which will be inspired by the ARMA 2 mod.

Nothing has been confirmed about the second big-budget film for Year 5.
