Ever, since pandemic ended, we had four ¥10B+ Grosser (one imported). If Nov special screening goes well, then Conan 2022 will also reach ¥10B. Well, RED should reach ¥10B before Sep. ~guess-estimate. 

 

Combining everything, we should have six ¥10B+ grosser by 2022. Of which, four films are from 2022

 

Will Conan reach 10B though? That would be amazing if we get four films this year, and 2022 is still far from over. Although, technically JJK was released in 2021. But for Japanese BO year, it's included in 2022.

 

Also I'm not sure when the pandemic ended, I think it still hasn't, especially in Japan. Maybe the right words would be, "since movie theaters back to normal".

On the OD of Demon Slayer. Imported Works are currently stagnant. There isn't any ¥5.0B except one — Top Gun Maverick (¥10.74B)

 

If I go in details then, pandemic hasn't ended for Family demography release, you can see Doraemon/ Sing 2/ Minions 2 taking hit. It really hurts a lot when FB3 didn't reached ¥5.0B, which is the only film in Magical World Franchise that hasn't reached ¥5.0B.

 

Though, despite taken much hit, I think outside TGM, Marvel work has seen a good OW, with some meh increase (compare to prequels). Atleast, if they could come up with quality Production....

 

Ehhh, taking about Disney's Animated Film, Only Buzz: LightYear has crossed ¥1.0B since Frozen II (2019) Universal's BB2 did reach ¥1.0B but worse decline from it's prequel which was at ¥3.0B.

 

Reboot/Spin-off like Ghostbusters/Resident Evil were next level disaster.

 

Taking about local, I am too much worried about Kingdom 2, I don't know if it can reach ¥5.0B or not. Really disappointed (｡ŏ﹏ŏ)

 

Taking all in counts, I would say Box Office hasn't returned normal for film largely depending on Family &this criteria is impacting more Imported Film then local ones.

 

Well, I am counting JJK, Conan, TGM &RED on ¥10B+ Grosser of 2022. I just follow Eiren Calendar so I didn't count Suzume's Locking-Up &Avatar 2 (latter one unlikely to reach so quickkk)

Conan 2022 is ¥9.28B as of last weekend. I heard that they are going to screen the trailer or announce Conan 2023 on Nov Special screening [Oct 28- Nov 7, i.e. 11 days].

I just noticed that even OPR opening like a monster here,but OPR OW is still even lower than Demon Slayer 's third weekend gross....

It's just crazy for DS national level's popularity here.
