The 5-day record for a foreign film might not be broken. Current estimates in admissions for 5 days are around 2.7 to 2.9 million. EDIT: 2,844,886 admissions in 5 days. 6th best 5-day opening ever, Star Wars ROTS still keeps the record for a foreign movie. First week (7-day) for a foreign film will probably not be broken due to Star Wars TFA being absolutely bonkers, having done the best Monday/Tuesday of all time thanks to Christmas school break. Avengers Endgame will benefit for a part of Easter school break as it's still in effect for a third of the country, and May 1st being a holiday, Tuesday evening showings will be packed. Still, many other movies had decent (or great) drops this weekend. After isn't really among them. However, it still could get around 1,25M. Yeah, it's a mistake, it should be April 24. Anyway the full opening week for Avengers: Endgame has been revealed: 3,348,471 admissions from April 24 to April 30. Once again, it's the 6th biggest opening ever. It's a 30% increase in admissions compared to Infinity War, which is even more impressive since AIW had Labor Day (May 1st) in its opening week (Apr 25-May 1) but AEG hadn't. I edited my post above. It's not the biggest opening for a foreign movie though - even though it's above Revenge of the Sith, it's behind The Force Awakens as the latter did the biggest Monday/Tuesday ever with more than a million admissions on these two days. Also, yesterday, there was a big french release, Nous finirons ensemble (the sequel to Les Petits Mouchoirs aka Little White Lies internationally). Thanks to Labor Day and a LOT of previews, it did the 2nd best opening day of 2019 so far with 370,691 admissions (with 142,264 included in previews and limited release), behind AEG and just in front of Serial (Bad) Weddings 2.
