Heretic
Very impressive. Definitely think $45-50m is where this is heading, maybe more. Edited November 14, 2014 by Heretic
redfirebird2008
Very impressive. Definitely think $45-50m is where this is heading, maybe more. That's great. At least one market is giving this movie the success it deserves.
Rsyu
I thought the Friday increase would have been bigger over yesterday but it makes sense seeing as all the high schools and middle schools had the day off yesterday due to national exams. Interstellar presales on midnight friday last week was 377,146 (80.2% share) and Saturday-Sunday managed a X4.02 multiplier off Friday's number. Presales are higher by 100,000 tickets this Friday so I think a X4 multiplier is the baseline giving a saturday-sunday attendance of 1.4 million admissions minimum. Gross should be at $34-35 million by the end of the week. Edited November 14, 2014 by Rsyu

The pre-sales are better for its second weekend than first weekend? That is kind of mindblowing to think about. Never see that here in the U.S.

Rsyu
Transformers shockingly underperformed. Interstellar will end up second biggest grosser behind frozen. Word of mouth was pretty bad and despite it being low compared to others in the series, it's still a pretty huge number for a blockbuster by any metric. Interstellar will beat it though yeah, and without 3D tickets too. Edited November 15, 2014 by Rsyu

Rsyu
Yeah. But hit 8,7 mill+ adm? A long shot but it could happen, depends on how it drops after this week.
Rsyu
woah, it's having a crazy run out there! any remote chance of it catching Frozen's result? I never say impossible but matching frozen would be extremely difficult. Interstellar is ahead at the moment by a considerable margin. By Sunday it will have amassed 4.8 million admissions, whereas frozen in the same time period was at 3.1 million admissions. Quite a gap I know but frozen's 3rd week increased again over it's second week and it's 4th week was on par with it OW. Frozen also had the advantage of being released during not only the winter holiday season but it also had the Chinese new year. Interstellar has nothing like that.
The Dark Alfred
Nice on Korea. Hopefully there will be other markets where it impresses on its second weekend. UK hold should be good.
