Oh, so last Thursday was kind of a holiday.

yeah just for the students. Friday last week was the same as Thursday's number so I'm expecting the drops to be less severe tomorrow (which should see an increase from today). Hopefully it can come in at 200K+ admissions.

Looking at CF last year on a week-by-week basis:

Week1: 471,470------------(#2)

Week2: 394,902 (16.2%)-(#3)

Week3: 181,600 (54.0%)-(#7)

Week4:   64,077 (64.7%)-(#8)

It basically died after that. I think it will follow a similar pattern this time around. It will open second behind interstellar, a local film (Big Match) will impact it in week 2 driving it down a place, on week 3 there's exodus and some other new releases and Hobbit 3 releases on week 4 just as it did with CF.

You mean in gross right? I think Fury will gross slightly higher than $3 million during the 3-day weekend.

Thank You. In gross, for sure.

Very good number.

Clooney's movie (The Monuments Men) made only 0.39 million total in South Korea.

Based on an analysis by CGV, by Nov 17 repeat viewing rate of Interstellar stood at 3.8%, on par with recent 10M admissions films Frozen, Roaring currents and The Attorney (3.7% average). CGV is the only chain that has IMAX theatres so I'm guessing it has much higher repeat viewings compared to other theatre chains.

Nice friday increase for interstellar. It passed Inceptions admissions with today's numbers. Friday increase for other releases were pretty average though.

Interstellar's presales are above 300K again going into Saturday-Sunday. This is pretty close to presales on Friday midnight of it's opening week: 377,146 (80.2% share). I think Saturday-Sunday total will come close to 1 million admissions.

So, assuming that Interstellar's Sat-Sun admissions comes in at around 1 million, it should be at around 6.8 million by the end of the weekend. This should secure 8 million admissions minimum and give it a shot at 9 million. 4th most attended foreign release behind Avatar, Frozen and IM3 is pretty certain to happen.

Impressive. Keeps putting up big numbers. What films are coming out in December?

Exodus, hobbit 3 and three more potentially big local films. Exodus should impact Interstellar's late legs a little but beyond that the others shouldn't affect it as much.

It's worth noting that Interstellar crossed 6 million admissions after 17 days 1 day faster than Frozen (18 days). Frozen next crossed 7 million admissions after 24 days. Interstellar should cross that milestone in 19 days, 20 at the latest.
