The Official TASM Weekly Thread (6 Day EST-140m) (Warning: Whiten Out Spoilers/Spoiler Tags)

Recommended Posts

I think discount tuesday boost these days are bigger than usual. That translates to worse than normal drop on wednesday. May be ASM's OD was inflated big time because of tuesday opening. It will drop hard on wednesday and thursday bigger than usual. But recover better over the weekend.Still ASM is doing better than expected at this point. Its lock for 250M+ for sure.

Better than expected according to whom?

In 2002, although the 4th fell on a Thursday, almost every film fell.

And in 2001, even though I can't get every film, July 4th fell on Wednesday, and The Fast and the Furious fell by 15%, but Doctor Doolittle stayed flat. Meanwhile A.I. went up on both Tuesday and Wednesday by 17% and then crashed on Thursday by 44%. So I really have no idea what to think.

Use this as a small reference:

And the Amazing-est?

Well the "Amazing-er" re-reboot will be a trilogy too of course that will shoot back to back to back and release on each year, so that the Amazing-est Spiderman re-re-reboot can come out in time for the original Spiderman's 20th anniversary in 2022. ;)

And don't forget the Amazing-er Spider Man re-reboot planned for 2018. ;)

Probably won't get part III til 2016 maybe 2015 if shot back 2 back. I don't think they will reboot in 2-3 years.

I disagree. It shouldn't have decreased at all minus the midnight number if it was doing well. Every other movie will have a sizable bump for the 4th when numbers come in a bet, and this should have had a small bump (minus midnights) or at least stayed even because of the 4th. The fact that it dropped so much on a holiday is only setting it up for an even bigger Thursday drop leading into a ho hum weekend that may barely touch 50m. Hardly impressive for a movie that opened to a 35m OD if you ask me.

Lol such hyperbole it's not even funny

According to you and the rest of the Hater Brigade. :P

According to a club I made. Not according to most people who, even on the low side predicted 250-270.
