As expected, Breaking Dawn Part 2 dominated the foreign marketplace, setting franchise records across the world and tracking roughly 38% higher than the previous installment in gross international box office. In all, it opened to a $199.6M weekend internationally from 61 territories on 12,812 screens for a worldwide cume of $340.9M. Its Top 10 markets were UK $24.4M, Russia $20.3M, Brazil $19M, France $16.4M, Australia $12.7M, Italy $12.4M, Spain $11.8M, Mexico $11.8M, South Korea $7.1M, Philippines $4.4M, and Sweden $3.9M. As for IMAX overall internationally, the film grossed $3M from 82 locations.

BD2 has smashed OW record in Brazil by a 75%. Previous one was 10.9 million hold by BD1. As we have mentioned in Brazil thread, I can not remember a similar case.And BD2 has set new record in euros in Spain (9.26 million €), outgrossing The Impossible record (8.97)

HARSH DROPS are coming!

I know you are not a fan, but at least appreciate the massive opening. This is why we love box office. I don't like Potter all that much but I was in awe when DH2 exploded. Just take it all in for a bit. :)

BD2 probably will get a release in China next year. But don't expect much. Twilight movies are not that popular in China.

At this point it doesn't matter much. I'm really hoping it does 800 mill, that would be fantastic.

Why?It would be hard to beat Brazil's opening.

No ... PH is a small market.
