fmpro
Much lower than the admissions of IM3. CA2 or GOTG will make less than Thor 2. Finally. You made a prediction that made sense to me
Shantal
The France opening seems kind of disappointing. Thor 1 opened with 8m so barely an increase. And Mexico for Thor 1 was 7m. first Thor opened with 89.2m and finished with 268m. Thor I opened during the May Day weekend in a lot of European countries, where Sunday's gross is higher because of holiday Monday [May 2 in that case], including UK and some other countries. It's a holiday weekend in essence. Edited November 3, 2013 by Shantal
Moviedweeb
Also, we are in November whereas the original Thor marked the beginning of Summer internationally.

Fullbuster
I watched it at last, it's a bit better than Thor 1 and better than IM3, no nasty surprise, pretty good bad guy, excellent FX...Probably the best Marvel SH movie since TASM and Avengers. A Marvel Fanboy
Thor 2 (9.4m) didnt beat Gravity (10.6m) in France, which is the only market where Thor 2 didnt open on top. Gravity is doing beastly well in France. At the very least, I expect Thor 2 to stand at 220m+ os and well over 300m WW by next Sunday. Fullbuster
How come it didn't increase in Spain? Because the economy situation worsened in Spain, and badly, with an unemployment rate near 28% (60% for young people)
Fullbuster
Spain is basically a bigger version of Portugal, that is why. Thankfully Latin American countries share your languages (Spanish and Portuguese) but not your movie market's sluggishness Edited November 3, 2013 by Sonic
