Seeing it pass Ice Age for #1 all time overseas is almost as satisfying as last sunday's Game of Thrones.

edroger3
Today Billboard chart preview reports that Frozen soundtrack likely will reach its 11th week at n.1 in Billboard 200, this is the new record in Soundscan era (1991-2014) for animated movies. Also Frozen now is #3 in all-soundtracks ranking behind The Bodyguard and Titanic. http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/6055547/no-stopping-frozen-album-as-11th-week-at-no-1-seems-likely Edited April 17, 2014 by edroger
Hilderic
It is the all-time record for a soundtrack for an animated film. Not just Soundscan. Edited April 17, 2014 by Hilderic

mfantin65
Another week, another round of graph updates. Beating TWR is now virtually certain. Ponyo is still about as likely as not, and Howl is unlikely. Even the most optimistic extrapolation doesn't put it near Spirited Away. Can you do everyone a favor and plot projected gross so they can see how it tracks spirited away. Seeing this weekend is flat again, and 3d dubbed and holiday are coming, it should go like this. 10.7b yen for this sunday total. Then... 12.3b 14.5b 16.3b 17.4b 18.4b thx. Blame me if anyone gives you shit.

chuck0
Is there a list of biggest 6th weekend grosses? I would assume frozen might end up pretty high on that one Edited April 20, 2014 by chuck0
Olive
800M OS
edroger3
800M OS It needs: 175M$ in Japan to reach 800M$ OS and 190M$ to outperform IM3. I think both are doable. If in next two weeks the insane staying power continues (3D dubbed version release could aid), it's locked.

A Marvel Fanboy
At least OS, totally happening (would be surprised if it misses). DOM/WW probably will have to wait for re-release. Edited April 20, 2014 by firedeep
Rsyu
At least OS, totally happening (would be surprised if it misses). DOM/WW probably will have to wait for re-release. $86M till IM3 WW, $77M till IM3 OS, only $9m difference both are within $200m total from japan. If OS is easy then WW should follow. Dom won't happen in original run.

The weekend gross after May holiday should be still bigger than its OW. 9~10 straight weekends over OW. Just Crazy.
Incarnadine
Amazingly, Frozen is still playing in at least 5 markets besides Japan as of last weekend, although only the UK and Sweden are still over 10k. Apr. 11-13 weekend. UK - $126,565 +8.1% ($65,106,059) Sweden - $62,665 -41.3% ($9,426,792) Another 190k towards the WW gross, every little bit helps.
